Michele’s Vision for Stronger Schools

Putting classrooms first by supporting students, empowering educators, and strengthening our school communities.

Michele believes strong schools are built through student-focused leadership, empowered educators, and meaningful support for families.

With more than 20 years of classroom experience, Michele understands firsthand what helps students succeed — and the role strong schools play in building stronger communities.

Her vision for Brevard County Schools is grounded in experience, collaboration, and putting students first.

Keep Politics Out of Classrooms

Our schools should be places where students feel safe, supported, and focused on learning — not divided by political debates.

Students deserve classrooms where they can grow academically and personally. Teachers deserve the respect and freedom to focus on teaching.

Retain Our Teachers & Paraprofessionals

Our veteran teachers work hard to support new teachers and after a couple of years, the new teachers leave. Our paraprofessionals work tirelessly to support students and they can only handle so much too.

We need to recognize the difficulties and address the issues in order to keep our most valuable professionals working in our public schools.

Strengthen Services for Students with Disabilities

We need to ensure students with disabilities receive the services they deserve. Our ESE Teachers are managing increasing demands with limited resources and time.

We must address the obstacles and make a plan that strengthens support for both students and the educators who serve them.

Use Taxpayer Dollars Responsibly & Transparently

Our schools depend on taxpayer dollars to serve students, support educators, maintain our facilities, and provide the programs our community relies on. Every dollar matters, and our community deserves to know that those resources are being used wisely.

We need responsible spending, careful oversight, and greater transparency in how decisions are made.
